There are several specialized extrusion techniques that can be used to produce various extruded plastic products: Film extrusion: In this method, plastic is sent through rollers after exiting the nozzle. The rollers smooth the material to any desired thickness, resulting in flat plastic sheets. Typical plastic materials used in extrusion include polyethylene (PE), polypropylene, acetal, acrylic, nylon (polyamide), polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene (ABS) and polycarbonate.

⑴Screw: It is the most important part of the plastic sheet extruder, which is directly related to the application area and productivity of the extruder. It is made of high strength and corrosion resistant alloy steel.

(2) Cylinder: It is a metal cylinder generally made of alloy steel with high heat resistance, high compressive strength, strong wear resistance and corrosion resistance, or alloy steel lined composite steel pipe. The cylinder interacts with the screw to realize the pulverizing, softening, melting, plasticizing, suction and compacting of the plastic and to transport the rubber material continuously and evenly to the molding system. In general, the length of the cylinder is 15–30 times its diameter, so that the plastic can be completely heated and completely plasticized.

(3) Funnel: The bottom of the hopper is equipped with a cutting device to adjust and interrupt the material flow, and the side of the hopper is equipped with a viewing hole and calibration dosing device.


What is the use value of a plastic sheet extruder?

The two most common methods to avoid these problems are pre-drying and venting. During pre-drying, the hot air feed is heated in a hopper above the plastic sheet extruder or similar container nearby and then fed continuously to the extruder. The hopper must be large enough to allow sufficient drying time for the material to be dried. Thus, the feeding, although still solid, was hot and the extrusion conditions were different from feeding at room temperature.

The plastic sheet extruder is vented through a hole in the cylinder – on a single screw, about 70% downstream of the feed; With a twin, the position varies. The screw design differs from a non-vented system in that there are deep passages in the vent where it can be partially full so that nothing comes out of the vent (although this is sometimes the case). When the material reaches the vent, it is hot enough to evaporate the water there, especially when a vacuum is applied. The vacuum also removes air, as is required by most powder supply lines.
